Janette Manrara and Aljaz Skorjanec will be bringing the smash-hit theatre show, Remembering Fred, to Watford on Saturday 19th May 2018 and you could be there too!
Due to popular demand, Strictly Come Dancing stars Janette Manrara and Aljaz Skorjanec have announced a 46-date UK tour of their smash-hit theatre show Remembering Fred. The show will be a spectacle of traditional Hollywood glamour, as it celebrates the life and talent of legend Fred Astaire through song and dance.
From the producer of Darcey Bussell’s & Katherine Jenkins’ Viva La Diva, and Natalie Lowe, Jay McGuiness & Louis Smith’s hugely successful 1950’s jukebox dance show Rip It Up, Remembering Fred is a beautiful evening of song and dance that celebrates the very core of what made Hollywood icon Fred Astaire such a legend.
Supported by a full cast of dancers and singers, Aljaz and Janette will perform new dances with a new look, as well as classics from the American Songbook. Written by the likes of George & Ira Gershwin, Irving Berlin and Cole Porter, the show will feature songs such as They Can’t Take That Away From Me, Night & Day, S’Wonderful, Cheek To Cheek, Puttin’ On The Ritz, Let’s Face The Music & Dance, The Way You Look Tonight, Top Hat, White Tie & Tail, amongst many others.
To celebrate this amazing show, Vibe 107.6 FM is giving away x2 Front Stall tickets (worth £46.50 each) to see Remembering Fred at the Watford Colosseum on Saturday 19th May at 7.30pm! So for your chance to win this fantastic prize, make sure you're listening to Lee on Breakfast from 6am on Tuesday 1st May.
This will be Janette and Aljaz's second tour with the Remembering Fred cast, and the first since they married last summer. After a big success in 2017, Aljaz and Janette have announced their excitement for another tour with Remembering Fred in 2018. "We were blown away by the audience reaction at every single show and we can't wait to bring Remembering Fred to more people in 2018," said Janette. "The multi-media aspect is really exciting, creating a Hollywood studio feel to the show. There may also be some vocal surprises too! Everything is just going to be bigger and better."
Aljaz said, “In addition to a variety of new songs, new dances, new costumes and a new look, we will be adding a huge LED screen to the production to create a multi-media cinematic experience for the audience. It’s going to be an epic show to choreograph with the screens behind us. It’s an honour to celebrate Fred Astaire’s career and to perform all the routines inspired by his genius. Just like Fred, we will again be doing it big, doing it right and doing it with style! We hope you enjoy the shows."

When asked about their favourite moments from the successful debut tour in 2017, Aljaz said, "my highlight was seeing so much of this beautiful country and sharing the stage with Janette, dancing our hearts out night after night," and both of them particularly loved performing in London with their families in the audience.
As professional dancers, Fred Astaire has always been a great source of inspiration to the couple. "He was the first star who brought dancing to mainstream film, so all of us working as dancers today should really be thankful to him. In a funny way, without Fred Astaire, Strictly Come Dancing probably wouldn't exist," said Aljaz. "Fred Astaire is just one of the biggest dance legends ever," added Janette.
