The Big Skate, which saw thousands of visitors take to the ice in 2016, is back for the fourth year in a row and you can buy your tickets now!
Part of Watford Borough Council’s Big Events series, the outdoor ice rink will measure 15 metres by 25 metres and an incredible 40,000 litres of water will be used to make the ice. Following on from the success of last year, the Birmingham Freestyle Skaters will be back opening the event and performing on the ice and providing tips to skaters.
There will be a viewing area and bar, serving festive food and drinks for all ages. The rink will be adorned with a host of twinkling Christmas tree and fairy lights to provide a cosy and festive atmosphere.
Councillor Karen Collett, Cabinet Member for Community said: “We have always had an excellent turn out for the Big Skate and I’m sure this year will be no different. It’s such a wonderful event leading up to Christmas and the New Year and even well into January. I hope the residents of Watford and nearby will be thrilled to take to the ice again!”
