This year’s fair will take place on Saturday 1 June, from 10am to 3pm in the atrium area of Atria Watford.
The fair, an annual event in Watford, provides an opportunity for individuals to engage with a diverse range of local charities and community groups. The event is run by Watford & Three Rivers Trust (W3RT), in partnership with Atria, Go Vol Herts and Watford Borough Council.
It promises to have something that will interest every person in attendance, including charities focusing on health and wellbeing, environmental conservation and social justice. There will be a wealth of information about the different ways to get involved in each organisation to contribute to positive change in the community.
Alex Murray, W3RT community & voluntary services lead for Watford, said: “Volunteering embodies the spirit of unity and collaboration that has defined our community over the last few years. It’s a chance for individuals to explore their passions, lend a helping hand, and make a real difference in the lives of others.”
The fair will feature a wide range of organisations from across Watford and Three Rivers, including Citizens Advice Watford, Home Start Watford and Three Rivers, Herts Mind Network and Watford & Three Rivers Trust.
Emma Burgham, chief officer at Citizens Advice Watford, who will be attending the fair said: “I am grateful to W3RT for hosting the fair again. The demand on our service has soared in the last two years. We are looking forward to recruiting additional volunteers to help us meet
this increased demand and support people in crisis”.
Volunteers from all backgrounds and experience levels are encouraged to attend. There will be additional information about opportunities for corporate partnerships to set up employer supported volunteering.
