We have done it! We made it to the end of what feels like the longest month of the year! And even though January can be dark, hard and cold, it has delivered some amazing new TV shows and films for us to watch. Including these final five of the month, which I think you simply can’t miss. Enjoy…
The Responder, 9pm, BBC One, Monday 24th January: Intense dramas are what winter is all about. Starring Martin Freeman, the star plays a police officer, who is going to hook you in for the next few weeks. Morally compromised, Freeman’s on-screen portrayal is based on scripts from a real-life ex police figure, so it is definitely going to be an intriguing viewing.
The Legend of Vox Machina: Season 1, 8am, Amazon Prime UK, Friday 28th January: This new adult animation is said to be an intense, fun and interesting feature. Not much has been revealed about it, but from the little sneak peeks we have been shown, it looks great.
The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window (Limited Series), 8am, Netflix UK, Friday 28th January: Kirsten Bell may have become famous for her turn in Veronica Bell and as the voice of Anna in Frozen, but today she is changing all that. Taking a comedic role in this limited series, Bell parodies recent mystery features that have taken over our screens.
Getting Curious with Jonathan Van Ness (Season 1), 8am, Netflix UK, Friday 28th January: Having hosted the hit podcast for years, Jonathan Van Ness is now turning it into a new Netflix show. Exploring key topics and interesting areas of life, we will all learn something new from it.
Shanghai Disney Resort Grand Opening Gala, 8am, Disney Plus UK, Friday 28th January: Every Friday is magical, but Disney Plus has delivered us some truly remarkable views with this gala screening of the opening of Shanghai Disney Resort. Unless you were there, you won’t have seen it before. Snuggle up with the whole family for this one.
