Cooking, new worlds and incredible individuals are dominating the TV and films coming out this week. Changing the world is a strong theme in fact. Get ready to be inspired by these amazing individuals and their worlds in my top five picks this week:
Bake Off: The Professionals, 8pm, Channel 4, Tuesday 24th May: With all of us waiting for the new Great British Bake Off series, this set of episodes will keep us covered for the next few weeks. As the professionals show us all how it is done. Or in some cases, not to be done. It will be a very intense watch to say the least.
The Prince’s Trust Awards, 8:30pm, ITV One, Thursday 26th May: Not normally aired on TV, this special awards ceremony, will celebrate the incredible talent that the UK has. Those who have been working with the Prince’s Trust will tell us what they are doing and how they are changing the world for the better.
Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi, 8am, Disney Plus UK, Friday 27th May: After such a long wait, we are finally getting the series that we have been waiting for. Ewan McGregor is back as the much-loved character, along with many of the film's regulars. Get the lightsabers ready for Friday.
Stranger Things (S4), 8am, Netflix UK, Friday 27th May: Also taking us to another world, a darker one, Stranger Things is back and ready to rock our world and the upside down. 80s memorabilia is a strong look this week.
We Feed People, 8am, Disney Plus UK, Friday 27th May: Delving into the world of what it is like to open a kitchen to help feed those in need, this is a super interesting documentary. Made by actor and director Ron Howard, the film looks into how the World Central Kitchen works and the lives of the volunteers who help run them.
