Strictly Amy: Cancer and Me, 8pm, BBC One, Monday 26th August: After being diagnosed with stage three breast cancer, Strictly’s Amy Dowden agreed to share her journey. Touching on heartbreaking subjects, the show is a real eye opener throughout.

Platform 7, 9pm, ITV One, Monday 26th August: First aired on ITVX last year, this gripping four part series is coming to mainstream TV. After tragically dying at a train station, our leading character must figure out what really happened the night of her death. Was it an accident or did something more horrific occur? Watch to find out!

Only Murders In The Building (Series 4), 8am, Disney Plus UK, Tuesday 27th August: Winning over the hearts of both young and old, Steve Martin and Selena Gomez are back for even more murderous action in the fourth series of this hit show.

Paralympics Paris 2024 Opening Ceremony, 8:30pm, Channel Four, Wednesday 28th August: We have all been longing for our amazing athletes to return to our screens and finally the Paralympics is kicking off tonight! Get ready to watch even more fantastic sporting heroes take to their chosen arenas to hopefully pick us up a ton of medals. Either way though, we will be proud of their achievements.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power (Series 2), 8am, Prime Video UK, Thursday 29th August: It’s time to go back to Middle Earth with this fantastic second series. Prepare to be mystified into a binge watching session from the moment it begins.
