TV is truly award worthy this week, with food, football and fabrics all being celebrated this festive season. Get ready to sit back with a Christmas cookie and enjoy these the top five must watches this week…

Sports Personality Of The Year Awards 2024, 7pm, BBC One, Tuesday 17th December: It’s come to that time of the year where we celebrate the best of the best in the world of sport. From football legends to our olympians, all of those that win on the night are worthy of their awards.

Hotel Chocolat At Christmas, 9pm, Channel Four, Tuesday 17th December: Who doesn’t love a good old chocolate tray or tub at Christmas! In this special, the luxury brand, Hotel Chocolat, are letting cameras go behind the scenes to see how they make their Christmas delights. Grab a few sweets to help get you through it.

Own Brands: The Christmas Taste Test, 8pm, Channel Five, Wednesday 18th December: If you are looking to save some money this Christmas than this is the show for you. Testing big brands against own brands, a festive panel will decide where we really should be spending our money this festive season. Mince pies at the ready!

Stacey Solomon’s Crafty Christmas, 9pm, BBC One, Wednesday 18th December: She is the queen of DIY, so it is only right that she returns for another festive special to help us decorate our homes for less. The Great British Sewing Bee Celebrity Christmas Special, 9pm, BBC One, Thursday 19th December: Fabrics at the ready, as a whole host of celebrities are entering the studio to make Christmas designs. Be inspired to make your own Christmas Day outfits after watching this.
