The Top Five Films and TV Shows to Watch this Week (14th - 18th October 2024)

Nostalgia is reigning high with my TV choices this week, as every new series seems to want to transport us back to the past. And I am here for it! Make sure to tune in to the following five new finds…

Mr Loverman, 9pm, BBC One, Monday 14th October: Based on the best selling book, this new series follows the pages perfectly. Each 30 minute episode will have you gripped, as it sees a marriage breaking down after a secret relationship is revealed.

Are You Smarter Than A Celebrity?, 8am, Prime Video, Wednesday 16th October: Do you remember the show, Are You Smarter Than A 10 Year Old? Well, this new show is very much the same. However, now our favourite famous faces are putting the contestants to the test with their knowledge being laid bare.

A House Through Time: Two Cities At War, 9pm, BBC Two, Thursday 17th October: These documentaries are always so interesting, as they take modern families and place them back in time to show the realities of life. This time around, the house is going back to the Second World War to show the families taking part what life was like for both English and German homes.

The Office Australia, 8am, Prime Video, Friday 18th October: Even after so many years, The Office, is still a classic. Being given an Australian makeover, this new version will be sure to be a whole lot ruder and very very funny too.

Rivals, 8am, Disney Plus, Friday 18th October: Based on the best-selling book by Jilly Cooper, this new series is full of famous faces including David Tennent, Danny Dyer and more. Full of raunchy moments, this is one to watch without the young ones around.

Let us know what you have been watching and what you are most looking forward to catching over the course of the week, via our social media pages, as we would love to know!
