A team are getting ready to undertake an epic 24-hour static bike challenge at Northwood HQ to help raise money for Colnbrook School in South Oxhey.
Beginning at 8am this Thursday (29 September), Team Northwood is aiming to simulate the 2,237 mile distance from London to Morocco.
The impressive pedalling challenge is set to finish at 8am the next day (Friday 30 September).
There will be 60 minute slots for each bike over the 24-hour period, with one single bike always being cycled. A total of 360 slots will be available.
The event’s organisers are hoping to raise £5,000, which will go towards equipment for the special primary school located in Hayling Road.
The school for 4 to 11-year-olds supports children with learning difficulties, autism spectrum disorders and speech and language difficulties.

A representative for the team said: “Northwood HQ will be hosting a 24-hour Static Bike Challenge (0800) 29 September to (0800) 30 September 2022,15 Bikes, 24 hours, 360 available participant slots.
“The event will be raising money for the wonderful Colnbrook School, supporting children with learning, speech and language difficulties and autism spectrum disorder.
“Colnbrook School of South Oxhey is a fabulous school [that] caters especially for children with learning difficulties, autism spectrum disorders and speech and language difficulties.
“Their aim is to provide a simulating, happy, secure environment for all children, giving them the best possible education and experience!
“All monies raised will go towards the equipment that ensures the school’s continued support to the children and the local community, please share our message, dig deep, and donate via our QR code.
“We want to make sure these children have the enhanced experience they need, so dig deep and please share our message with your friends and family, every penny raised counts.”
